Dear Colleagues,
On behalf of the Organizing Committee, I would like to cordially invite you to participate in the Asian Pacific Digestive Week, to be held in Taipei from September 27-30 September, 2009.
APDW 2009 will be featured with the theme “New Frontier in Digestive Medicine”. Recent progress in both gastrointestinal and liver disease will be highlighted in the scientific program. A large panel of experts, within or outside the Asian-Pacific region, will share their experience and present their research work at this congress. It will definitely provide the best atmosphere for discussing the groundbreaking researches and progresses in the field of digestive medicine. At the same time, a live demonstration of therapeutic endoscopy will be conducted in this meeting in order to encourage the development of these techniques in Asian-Pacific region.
I believe this congress will provide a good opportunity for all of us to update ourselves on the knowledge of gastroenterology, hepatology, gastroenterological surgery, and endoscopy and to share clinical experiences as well as basic researches.
Taiwan is known for its array of mountains, soaring forests, natural settings, and cultural essences, all of which comprise its magnificent beauty. Taipei, where the congress will be held, is a very dynamic, modern, and multicultural city. Take the opportunity to enjoy the local hospitality, culture and cuisine at APDW 2009.
I am looking forward to seeing you in Taipei.
Cheng-Shyong Wu
President
